John Wayne's Place List of Military Movies.
The movies on this list helped create our image of what a soldier is and what war is like. For better and worse, rich in laconic bravery, cruelly bowdlerized of war's problems, these movies have shaped attitudes in the minds of many of the world's soldiers and decisionmakers for over fifty years now.

Special Law Enforcement Department Simulator
GURPS-based role-playing game system with a leeetle bitty twist. Sure, you get to fantasy role play in a world of super powers, playing cop hunting bad guys but...super strength doesn't protect you from lawsuits if a perp goes through a shop window. And you better file on time for your uniform allowance; you've been transferred to a field unit. Better download your paperwork here now recruit, fill 'em out, learn the regs, before you get in trouble.
While created as a police simulation, much of the system was based on years of study of US military procedures, language, even typeface and logo design. If for some odd reason you want to know what the everyday life of a soldier is like, this is as close as you're ever gonna get.
So what are you still standing there for, boy? You're late for unit review! Hustle your ass!

Strategic Forecasting
Geopolitics served up fresh (and tasty?) daily. This is a good place for briefings on what is happening in world politics, filtered through a World Bank/IMF/Chase Manhattan world view, of course.

A History of Secret Human Experimentation
A brief timeline of the ethical wasteland of surreptitious human experimentation, calmly allowing the relentless succession of concentration camp with Tuskegee experiment with radiation tests to make their own case. Unfortunately, quite a few of these bear the fingerprints of our military.

Reed&Wright
Don't forget what's available right here. check out our online timeline of US military combat actions. Or, for a more complete and comprehensive view, buy our timeline poster.
I can honestly say that, having seen and worked with the timelines of the Marine Corps, the Congressional Research Service, the New York Times, and many others, we really are just flat out the best. Most complete. Best indexed. Most balanced.
And, oh yeah, a local veteran's group just ordered a hundred of them.

Do you want us to list your site?
If so, then send us an email with not just a URL, but also an explanation of what sets your site apart. You should also check out the categories that we use and note which one best fits your site. If no category is a good match, then tell us and suggest a new one. We've got over 180 categories already and are more than willing to add new ones.
But keep in mind that nothing but our own blithely arbitrary judgement determines what gets listed on this site. We reserve the right to ignore your email and/or to reject your site for reasons including but not limited to the day of the week, the current state of our fingernails, the number of letters in your URL, button size, and advertising refresh rate. We also reserve the right to delist sites already up for all of the above reasons as well as any others that we can think up.
But good luck anyway.
